1. Brief Introduction:HS-LFI7035S Gelcoat is an advanced intumescent flame retardant gel coat, formulated with Isophthalic-adipic acid unsaturated polyester resin. This high-performance gel coat
is pre-promoted for ease of use in spray processes. It is meticulously designed for the surfaces of FRP products requiring exceptional flame retardant properties.

3. Gelcoat Properties:
Gel time test: Using curing agent M-50(AKZO) at a concentration of 2%.
4 . Application Notes :1). Gently mix the gelcoat in the bucket before use, avoiding excessive high shear rates to prevent air entrapment
during mixing.
2). Ensure the application temperature is ideal, between 18-25°C, with humidity below 80%. The mold must be
cleaned and polished before applying the gelcoat.
3). Prepare the mold to be dry, clean, and free of oil.
4). Fully wax the mold surface (avoid using silicone-containing release wax). Water-soluble release wax must dry completely before gelcoat application.
5). Use MEKP as the curing agent for the gelcoat, typically at a dosage of 1-3%.
6). The gelcoat film's total thickness should be between 600 and 1000μm. Each spray layer should not exceed 0.2mm. Allow 2-3 minutes for solvent evaporation before applying the next layer to reach the desired thickness.
7). Check the gelcoat's cure degree before beginning lamination. Press your finger for 30 seconds on the gelcoat film. If no residue sticks to your finger but the gelcoat remains tacky, you may proceed with the lamination layers.
5. Operation Procedure:
Note: Use a paint spray can with air source pressure maintained at 20 psi and an air flow rate of no less than 0.6 cubic meters per minute.
1). Follow the application guide's requirements to prepare for spraying.
2). Apply a thin layer of easy-to-polish primer (no more than 0.2mm thick) to the original mold surface using multiple thin passes. Allow it to dissolve before the next layer.After 2 minutes of evaporation, spray the next layer to the desired thickness. The primer will dry within an hour, after which sanding can begin.
3). Perform dry sanding with 220-320 mesh sandpaper, followed by sanding with 600-1200 mesh water sandpaper, and then proceed to polish.
6. Storage:
1) To ensure the integrity and longevity of the Weatherproof Urban Transportation Gel Coat with Flame Retardant Properties, avoid any exposure to heat sources such as direct sunlight or steam pipes. Always store this product in a dry environment at temperatures below 25ºC.
2) It is crucial to keep the containers tightly sealed to prevent any moisture absorption and loss of monomer. Storing the product outside of the recommended conditions for extended periods can adversely affect essential properties such as viscosity and gel time of the liquid resin.
3) Transportation of this product must comply with the State Council's 'Chemistry Dangerous Articles Safety Management Regulations'. Due to the presence of styrene monomer, the product is classified as hazardous and inflammable, necessitating careful handling during transit.
