As a state-owned large-scale enterprise, Shanghai Pudong Machinery Complete Equipment Company is established with the approval of Shanghai Municipal Economic Committee, subordinating to Shanghai Machinery Equipment Complex (Group) Co., Ltd. The company mainly deals in the mechanical and electrical equipment necessary for construction project, construction machinery and accessory material, imported car, domestic car (including motorcycle), air conditioner, elevator, and so on. The service manners of the company include agency for importing and exporting business, bid invitation business at home and abroad, consultancy service for construction project, equipment configuration and equipment rental business, and full range of service for the customers in car consumer loans, car insurance and car license application.
Since 1992 when the company was established, under the encouragement of Deng Xiaoping′s speech during his Southern Trip, the company has grasped the opportunity of Pudong Opening and Developing, providing the service of tax-free cars for thousands of enterprises in Pudong Area, and providing engineering equipment at the value of over RMB 2 billion for Nanpu Bridge, Yangpu Bridge, Xupu Bridge, East Yanan Road Tunnel, Waigaoqiao Power Plant, River Sewage Disposal, Metro Line 1, 2 & 3, and Jinshan Petrochemical Technical Modification Project, making proper contributions to the opening and developing of Pudong and facilitating the great changes of Shanghai every year. The market nurtures the company and the company makes rapid and great progress in the market economy. The company now has owned more than 10 solely-owned and joint venture companies, dealing in building materials, sanitary utilities production, and commodities trading. Its own assets have been increased by nearly 25 times. The future development of the company will stress on development of high-tech products, and exploiting of more fields in logistic service.
