Utilisation : rouge marron clair. Poudre brun foncé. Légèrement soluble dans le tétrahydronaphtalène chaud 1, 2, 3, 4 et le xylène thermique, insoluble dans le xylène froid. Dans l'acide sulfurique concentré jusqu'au vert de Copenhague, dilution après précipitation brune. Réduction alcaline leuco pour brun jaune; réduction acide leuco pour olive sombre. Principalement utilisé pour la teinture et l'impression de coton, chanvre, soie et viscose, teinture de fils de coton variétés communes. Utilisé pour la teinture de polyester/coton mélangé à deux bains de polyester avec peu de couleur. Le leuco utilisé pour teindre les tricots de coton.
